Her achievements as a child performer in America (which is known as Maureen O'Hara today) would certainly put her in the child-prodigy class. The traits she displayed were normal to a person born in Ireland. by gifted parents as well as a loving and supportive family. Maureen was welcomed into the safe haven of her parents on the 17th of August 1920, at Ranelagh (a suburb within Dublin), Ireland. Marguerita Lu. FitzSimons was a successful contralto. Charles FitzSimons ran a Dublin firm, as well as had shares in the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons was the second child of Charles FitzSimons. Peggy FitzSimons, Florrie Fitzsimons Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons rounded out this wonderful family. Maureen was a great athlete and was a gruelling athlete in games as a child. Her passion was coupled with a natural talent for performance. That was apparent when she won each Feis for theatre and drama the Irish had to offer. At age 14, she had been admitted to the Abbey Theater, where her dream was to pursue operatic singing and classical theater.
