Luciana Paluzzi

The actress Luciana Paluzzi was one of the many gorgeous Italian brunettes groomed for world-wide fame in the aftermath of the tragic Gina Lollobrigida. In the 1950s, Ms. Paluzzi worked on both sides of the Atlantic in films like Three Coins in the Fountain and Sea Fury. She was later offered the opportunity to make her debut as an American TV star in the role Simone Genet in the 1959 weekly spy show Five Fingers. She met with Bond producers in the year 1965 to talk about possibilities of being cast for the role of lead actress Domino Derval for Thunderball. Terence Young, the director suggested that she be given Fiona Volpe the role as the villain. It was her one of only a handful of women who could resist the temptation of Mr. Fiona, as a punishment she is killed on the floor of the bar by Bond's comrades. James, who then puts her body to rest on the table next to it is asked "Does this bother you if I lay this body out?" The girl is dead." Luciana Paluzzi's fame as a European star was extended by this box office blockbuster. She starred in films including Captain Nemo and the Underwater City, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Klansman and The Greek Tycoon. Luciana Luciana Luciana
